It could be that something has frightened him outside. Or it could have just been something about your father’s clothing that first time, and the second time I’m sure was because of fear. But if you still unsure, many others will answer this question.

Well when an animal has to go it has to go. Fear is an option for both incidences, the cat may have anxiety from being alone. I doubt it’s a medical problem but if it continues you should call the vet and ask this question. It could also have something to do with it’s age? Not sure how old your cat is.

You didn’t mention this so Idk if you do but you should have a kitty litter box indoors anyway even if it’s an outdoor cat… They gotta go somewhere if they can’t get outside.
