Insect repellent is designed to be sprayed on the skin to "repel" mosquitoes. What I'm thinking is that...if the formula is applied directly to the insect, does this effectively cause the insect to attempt to repel itself? As the formula gets absorbed deeper towards the insect's centre of gravity will the insect fly so hard in all directions at once that it splits itself apart?
