Propane typically comes in a tank in your yard. Natural gas comes from a pipe in the ground and is supplied by a utility company. There is a difference in the pressure at which each operates, but if your appliance is set up for the correct one, you would not even notice it. (Propane pressure is about 12″H20, and LNG is about 20″H2O) Either one is colorless and odorless. The gas companies add a “stink” to it so you can smell it. As far a BTU content of each, one is not better than the other. LNG is easier to use because it’s a continuous supply from the street, and you don’t have to check the level of the tank. Most propane companies will put you on “auto fill” so they will come out once in a while and fill your tank from a truck. Propane is the gas you use on your BBQ grill, although you can get BBQ grills that are LNG. (Can you imagine, never running out of gas on your BBQ!!!!) IM me or email if you want to discuss this further.
