My gas company is trying to stick me with a bill for $125.00 for 32 days of service and all that I use gas for is my stove/oven......and Betty Crocker I am not!!! Refusing to pay the absurd, ridiculous, not to mention impossible amount of my bill, have chosen to cook on my outdoor grill and microwave untill I can afford an electric appliance and insure that I know what I need to do to install it. Thanks!

Why would you want to?
Electric stoves warp pots and pans because electric stoves heat only in the element areas and not the entire pot or pan.
Gas stoves heat better and cook better!
Electricity is unreliable and is often expensive, VERY expensive, since the electric stove uses coils to heat up the elements at very hot temperatures, rather than jets of flame.
I think you need to check into a new gas stove with an electronic pilot light which may be more efficient! Also check the lines for leaks! I PREFER gas stoves, and I have to use a damn electric stove in the apartment I now live in!

You’d have to purchase an electric oven to fit the size opening you have, that’s the easy part. You’d also have to hire an electrician to install a dedicated 220 volt outlet (probably 30 – 40 amps) to power the oven. It can be done, but it will not come cheap.

you should look at your bill to see if its estimated, if it is call the gas company and demand that they re read your meter. personally i think you are making a huge mistake by going from electric to gas for your stove. i have had both and will take gas over electric any day of the week. gas heats up quicker, more evenly and is cheaper and more reliable

If your using natural gas and getting bills that high for one stove, you might want to have the company check for a leak.
