I was wondering if grilling indoors with an outdoor grill would be safe? Is it the same as a gas stove, except with propane or are there exhaust fume issues, obviously I could open the windows for ventilation......

Not safe at all. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. People die every year cooking inside with a gas grill or using a gas grill as an additional heating source. Use things for the purpose for which they were designed and you will live longer.
Get a George Foreman if you want to grill indoors.

its an outdoor grill for a reason, fumes will kill you and very easy to leak gas. don’t do it for your own safety

Absolutely not! you would get carbonmonoxide poisening.
Thats what happened this past winter during an icestorm, people were trying to keep warm with grills and it killed them.

Everyone says carbon monoxide. You are right though, your kitchen gas range is producing fumes just the same. It’s just not safe to have propane tanks indoors in case of leaks. Also grills tend to get dirty and greasy and are a much higher fire risk. If its made for outdoors, you should keep it outdoors.

DO NOT TRY THIS!!! the fumes will be toxic. there is no ventilation like for instance your dryer it has a pipe that takes it outside. so dont do this even if you open a window it still wouldnt be safe.
