Kendall S asked:
Can we leave both propane tanks open at the same time to allow for the continous flow of propane when one tank empty's...or must we wait until one goes dry, turn it off and then open the other/reserve tank?
Question based on one tank going dry during cold night...woke up freezing since heater was not working. Thanks

yes, you can get a regulator that will let both tanks be open at once. just go to your local r v dealership or repair shop and you will find them very helpful.

It probably has a switch on the regulator to change it over from 1 tank to the other so you cant use both the tanks at the same time.
