Going on a camp can be both exhausting and relaxing at the same time. Exhausting because campers need to prepare, go on a hike, and sacrifice comfort. And relaxing, because campers for once can get away from the mad and busy city life at least for awhile to commune with and enjoy nature.
The body and mind are definitely refreshed during camps especially when the comforts of home can still be brought to the campsites. Of course, this kind of may be nothing compare to the comfort of one's own bed or silent sanctuary through the years, companies like Coleman have managed to improve the quality of camping as an outdoor activity.
As one important gear to bring along during camp, a camping heater must be reliable, therefore, should be of the highest quality. One of the most common complains of campers is having to spend a cold night and trying so hard to fall asleep inside a cold tent. That is why, camping heaters are necessary to provide warmth and comfort to the campers especially during the colder hours while outdoors.
Choosing for a dependable camping heater can be a challenge. Here are some tips for buying camping heaters:
- Decide on what power you want to use. Do you want to use gas or propane? Or do you want to bring electric heaters? Probably the most convenient to bring and use is an electric heater from Coleman because you'd just be needing batteries or electricity. But your decision will still depend on your geographical location and how much you are willing to bring for the heater to work.
- To ensure safety, always buy a brand new heater. Used heaters are not reliable and might cause you danger.
- Check if you can use the camping heater while inside the tent. Coleman heaters are best to use a cabin tent because they are of the highest quality and won't bring your tent on fire. Some heaters are not designed for indoor use so make sure you take the labels on the camping heaters.
- Is the camping heater portable? Make sure that the heater you will be buying is portable enough to bring with you during camps. There are a lot of small heaters from Coleman that you can choose from that still bring the same comfort as the bigger models of heaters from other brands.

Can you use your car as a source of energy?
I'm going camping this month in a tent and does anyone know if there's any way to use your car as a source of energy for a cooker or a fan heater? thanks

Camping with a baby?
My hubby and I are going to go tent camping this weekend with our little girl. Is is 6 and a half months old. We have a small heater for the tent that we are only going to turn on before we go to bed to warm the tent up. The low for the next 3 days is 49 degrees. Do you think that this is alright? I am going to dress her in a onesie, reg. PJ's and a sleepsack. Does anybody have have any tips or recomendations for me.
My hubby and I are campers and we both love it I don't think that it would be painful. But we also love spending time with our little one and we are away from her when we are at work all week so we are looking forward to a nice family weekend.
Granted i am nervous but i am hoping that once we get there and get through one night i can relax. I was just wondering if anybody had gone tent camping with a baby and what their exerperence was.
Thanks!

Camping tips?
Please share any camping tips. Also, anyone have any ideas for heating up a tent, when you can't get ahold of a portable tent heater. Maybe a single burner propane stove? Any camping tips and/or ideas? Thanks.

How do people stay warm in “Paternoville”?
I saw on tv that it was in the 20s in State College today, so how do all those students in their tents outside Beaver Stadium keep warm? They obviously can't build a fire. Does Penn State allow them to use the stadiums' electricity for heaters and electric blankets? How does that work?

pop up tent trailer question?
I am considering buying a used tent trailer. It will be used by 2 people, my wife and myself, I have never known anyone who has had one. I am searching for information from anyone who has had, or currently has one. What are the pro's and con's? What accessories would you recommend? One of my biggest concerns is mold/mildew; I will be storing it outside under a tree in a fairly shaded area; it will be weather proofed using a plastic tarp. Would I be better off with a refrigerator or simply an ice chest? with or without a space heater, how about a water heater ? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks for your attention.

Vehicle care in the Rockies – especially winter?
I have a friend who's moving up into the rockies. Winter temps get down to -20. He doesn't have a garage. The truck wont be used every day. IS an engine heater and battery blanket necessary, or maybe one of those tent-like vehicle shelters?

If you could put together a really nice Yurt, would you consider living in one?
Most people call then tents. But they can have hardwood floors, fancy kitchens, chandlers, and cozy furniture. Even a nice bathroom and shower. Hot water heaters, heating and cooling, full electricity and every aminity a conventional home could have.

Would you consider living in one?
Actually, a yurt might be better for hurricane country. You can pack of your whole house, and forego the insurance problems or fixing and rebuilding.

Camping on February 24th in IL. Is that a good idea?
It's cold, but I believe it may not be so cold as Jan. I will camp with a tent and a heater. Do you think it's a good idea to camp at that time? Why people like winter camping? I just want to try it. However, I don't want to try at the coldest period for my first experience. When is the coldest time and is February just mid-cold or low-cold? Thank you.

Winter camping?
Going to be camping this weekend and the temperatures will be in the 30's at night. Not a big deal, but I'll have people with me that will complain.
I was thinking about using an electric space heater for my three person tent, but it's suppose to rain. How safe are these to use in a tent with the proper precautions?
If a space heater is inapplicable, what else can I use?
